D.A.V. (Dayanand Anglo Vedic) Kapil Dev Public School is a public school located in New A.G. Co-Operative Colony, Kadru, Ranchi. The school just 3 km from Ranchi Junction Railway Station on a land given on lease for 99 years by A.G. Co-operative Society is another link in the chain of more than 600 DAV Public Schools all over the country, managed by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. It made a very humble beginning with only 25 students from classes I to IV in 1991. On 17 September 1993, Padam Bhushan G. P. Chopra, President, DAV CMC inaugurated the building and flagged off its journey. Currently the School has more than 3,200 students up to +2 level (Science & Commerce) and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in New Delhi. It is divided into two buildings, a Senior and a Junior building. There is one lab each for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Language( English) and Mathematics, and two labs for Computer Science. == Achievements == The most glorious moments for the school came in 2013 as Nidhi Nivedita who passed class XII from this school qualified in IAS and clinched the most prestigious All India 33rd Rank in general category and 7th in Women’s rank in the Civil Services Exam (UPSC 2012). A student Manshi Priya of Std XI, was felicitated with Award & Merit Certificate by the former President of India Hon’ble Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam at IIM Ahmedabad on 10 November- 2012 for her unique Ideas and innovation on "User friendly pedal rickshaw". Kishlaya Kunj of Class X was selected as the National Winner of Brain Hunt 12 organized by prominent news group "Dainik Bhaskar". He was awarded by Her Excellency, the President of India Hon’ble Smt Pratibha Devisingh Patil on 4 July 2012 in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
